ROBERT EISENBERG

Commencing in Newcastle in 2002 he founded the head and neck microvascular reconstruction program. and the neuro-otology and skull base surgery program. As founding co-director of Hunter ENT, he has instigated and collaborated on numerous projects including the Muku outreach program, Newcastle Cochlear implant program, and KONARA health facility. He serves as Otorhinolaryngology-Head and Neck Discipline Lead for the University of Newcastle, holds the NSW Anatomy license for the Temporal bone lab, and chairs the Hunter-New England Skull Base Tumour Board. 

  • As Head of the Department of Hunter New England ENT-Head and Neck Surgery A/Prof Eisenberg oversaw expansion of locations, services and personnel, creating Australia's largest regional ENT-HN centre.

A forthright proponent of Indigenous-led coordination with three decades of regional and remote community experience, he uniquely facilitates ENT surgeon involvement as NICENT subcommittee founding Chair since 2018.
